COAS witnesses Pakistan-Turkey joint exercise at NCTC

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi and witnessed Pakistan – Turkey joint Exercise “ATATURK-IX”.

ATATURK-IX is a series of yearly joint exercise held by the armies of both the countries.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the two weeks long exercise was conducted at high altitude in deep snow environment at Rattu near Astore and later in urban environment at Pabbi near Jhelum.

Troops from Turkish Special Forces and Turkish Mountain Commando participated in exercise along with Pakistan Army troops. – APP
